Annona mucosa (Biribá)

Most Nicaraguan people don’t distinguish between different Annona. This species is known mainly by older locals for its sweet fruits.

    • Uses: Edible fruit, medicinal plant (traditional use of the leaves for parasite treatment & cancer prevention)

ABOUT "WE LOVE CACAO"

We are building a food forest based on cacao in Nicaragua to create a species-rich ecosystem that will contribute to the reforestation of cleared land, provide habitat for local wildlife and provide food and work for the people in the region.
